These terms apply to the ScreenRhythm app for Windows, the website and the parent panel. By installing or using ScreenRhythm, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not install or use the app.

1. The product

ScreenRhythm is a family screen-time agreement app for Windows 10 and 11. It includes a free plan and a paid Pro subscription. The app is installed by a parent or legal guardian and is visible to the child: the child sees the countdown, the tray icon and the rules, and can ask for more time.

2. Who may use it

You must be the parent or legal guardian of the child whose computer you manage, or otherwise legally responsible for that computer and the child. Do not use the product to monitor another adult, an employee, or a device you do not have the right to manage.

3. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use ScreenRhythm on computers you are responsible for. A Pro key is bound to the first computer where it is activated. The licence does not give you ownership of the software. You may not resell, rent, sublicense or redistribute the app or a licence key.

4. Free plan and Pro

The free plan includes the daily time limit, breaks, the weekly schedule, the lock screen and the parent password. Pro adds the system-wide site filter, the phone panel, weekly reports, extra-time requests and messenger notifications.

Pro starts with a 14-day trial. No card is needed for the trial. After the trial, the free plan remains unless you buy Pro. Pro costs $4.99 per month or $39 per year. The price shown at checkout or in the invoice is the price that applies. Prices are in US dollars; your bank may apply a currency conversion or a fee.

5. Payments, renewal and refunds

Payments are processed by a payment provider. We receive the payment status and the details needed to issue a licence; we do not store full card numbers. Unless the checkout says otherwise, a Pro purchase is for the period you selected and does not renew automatically.

If Pro does not work on your PC and support cannot fix it, write to us within 14 days of payment and we will refund the purchase. Your statutory consumer rights apply in any case. To request a refund, write to support@screenrhythm.com with the payment date and the device code.

7. Privacy

The privacy notice explains what data the app processes and where. Application names and window titles stay on the PC; the phone panel receives totals and schedules.

8. Updates and availability

We may release updates that fix bugs, improve security or change features. Some features depend on the relay and the phone panel and may be unavailable if the relay is down or your internet connection is not working. The time limits and schedule are enforced on the PC and work without the relay.

9. Disclaimer

ScreenRhythm is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and the site filter is not a substitute for parental supervision. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited by law, including consumer rights.

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, loss of data, loss of profit or loss of opportunity. Our total liability for a claim relating to the app or these terms is limited to the amount you paid for Pro in the 12 months before the claim. This does not limit liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Termination

You may stop using the app and uninstall it at any time. We may suspend or terminate a licence if these terms are breached, if a payment is reversed, or if we are required to do so by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
